Bottom row, 2nd from left and far right look the same. Royal cypher of George the Sixth (1936-1952), worn by the Grenadier Guards.

Bottom left, early to mid 20th century Royal Navy :icon_thumleft:. I'll try to get back to you with the rest.

Great id daroofa :icon_thumright:, bottom row 2nd and 4th might be Grenadier Guards. I'm still looking for the eagle buttons :icon_scratch:.

Yeah, I'm not finding anything on those eagle buttons either...maybe we can get DG to let us know what's on the back, that might help.

True, but my local Regiment "The Royal Anglian Regiment" has a similar badge, a Salamanca Eagle on a Pompadour purple background on the upper left sleeve of No. 2 Dress. Unfortunately they have suffered very great losses in Afghanistan during their last tours, I will try looking at their history, a mate who lives just around the corner still serves so if we don't solve this today/tonite, I will ask him.

I agree; same regiment, but slight differences in the crown and the width of the lettering might indicate different periods of issue.

Best,
Scott

Hmm... that button is the same as the Scots Greys (Royal Scots Dragoon Guards). Note the wreath on the eagle's chest.

The eagle is, of course, the Napoleonic Eagle... a battle honor for regiments who captured one from the French.

They are definitely similar, except the examples I looked at all had "Waterloo" and "R.S.G" under the eagle. I think Ironspike nailed this one.
