Not sure which way this goes, but probably not sideways like it is. One way I could almost see a face, and the other way maybe a lady in a dress? Any thoughts? :icon_scratch:

As always, help is appreciated in IDing it or at least giving me a time period. Thanks!

Without a size mentioned for reference, or the conditions/location in which it was found, I'm thinking possibly a dress cuff-button.
It looks to be made of pewter, but then again, you didn't tell us what type of metal it is. :icon_scratch:

Due to the fact that it's of one-piece construction, if it's actually pewter, might make it late 18thc.

Hard to tell from the pics... Maybe a bee in the center?

If so, I'm thinking early to mid 20th C. Openwork pewter bee button.

Your button has the wrong form of loop to be a pewter button... so I'd say it appears to be silverplated brass button. Having an open-framework body suggests it is a late-Victorian-era button.

Almost looks like a chicken eagle or a sea turtle.
