Another Buckle - but from when and what kind?

Bigger than the last one, and I couldn't find it on the chart. Measures 1.46 inches across. Any takers?
 

What chart did you use? It might be a buckle for a saddle.

Generally, when a D-buckle's bar is "offset" like on your buckle, it was manufactured that way to accomodate the passage of thick leather straps for "draft" (heavy hauling) horse-harness.
