As many would suspect I had a ruff night of sleep thinking of what might still be at the school site. Well I went back today and found some odds and ends then I popped an acorn crotal bell. Iron ball inside and rings mightily again. I've seen these in the videos on you tube and never thought I'd dig one. And now I'm tootin my own horn. The pendent has a coat of arms on it and I can see 1881. It's iron and rusting. Hard to read but I'll keep working on it. Although I didn't find as much, it was still an awesome day.

Frederic Ludwig Jahn was a German educator and is considered the father of gymnastics. He was an early advocate of the “sound mind-sound body” philosophy. Nice finds!
