We didn't it's just been on the news at ten on itv3, it showed the coins , most unfortunately by the look of it grots. Some though rare silver denarius of Carausius, usurper in Britain and north west Gaul A.D 287-293. A fantastic find.

Are you female ?, with stunning good looks, and aged between 18/22 years old. Failing that, can you laugh at yourself, and enjoy drinking lots of beer. If you match any of these criteria, there's a welcome waiting :-*

Wouldn't you know it, the Brits strike again!!

Someone would have to use a defibrilator on me, if I found something like that...LOL

Ill take a hand full :icon_pirat:

WOW!! Someday I will go detecting in the UK!

That is a fantastic find! I realize it's not the norm, but just to have the chance of finding something like that would be a real rush!

It's a shame, I will be in London in a week or so...only for 5 hours though killing time at Heathrow :(

Yep, it's very frustrating being here in America and seeing all the incredible stuff that's been found over there in recent years. The best us Yanks can possibly hope for is a 17th or 18th century coin or maybe a cache of 19th or 20th century coins. But in Britain everytime you dig a signal it could be Celtic, Roman, Anglo-Saxon, Viking or Medieval.
