Camb1 and I went on another hunt this evening. Since the last epic canoe trip I bought a Jon boat with a mercury 9.8 hp outboard. The hour trip turned into a joyful 6 minute ride.

We didn't find anything extravagant but I located some coins that had been in the water for a while. Non the less it was fun.

I need to promote more gold wearers to swim more frequently with their bling on. : - )

Here are my finds!

Glad ya got a fair number of quarters among the coins despite a dearth of bling! :icon_thumright: May you & your detecting buddy come home next time dripping with gold! :tongue3: Are you detecting lake beaches or river beaches? HAVE FUN! Andi

Ever tried detecting from inside the boat or canoe in shallow water, been wanting to try that myself, getting on in years and would like to try water hunting but while sitting down, haven't quite got a decent recovery system figured out yet. :icon_scratch: :tongue3:

Thanks all for the comments.

I went lake beach hunting. I'd go to river beach hunting if there was a place around here.

I've never tried to detect out of the boat. I've seen videos on YouTube where people were doing it with success.

Yep that was my first monster pull tab. Hahaha
