Another base softball field

Been really busy the past week so I never got out nor got on the forum. The temp yesterday was in the high 30s and the ground not too frozen anymore, so I went to a softball field on the nearby base. They are in the process of tearing down the ballfield to perhaps build a new building or something. The old SB fields here have been good to me this past fall, but this was my first visit to this one. I found the usual clad, no Wheaties, but three silvers. Odd, no Wheaties. I'll need to focus on deep targets next trip out as there is probably plenty of fill here. The silvers were only about three inches deep. If there are anymore goodies, they must be fairly deep.

Congrats on the silver R7. Having detected around several bases/posts, I hardly find any Pennies at all, you would think a few older memorials and wheats would show up but not many. HH, Mike

Maybe no pennies because no taxes, all comes to even 5 cents? I hunted a little on Ft Bragg prior to deploying to IRaq last year, they have been tearing down the old WWII barracks and rebuilding new,but someone might still be able to get some good hunting time in there and the time frame would be indicative of silver, I got 3 wheaties and bunch of clad in the little time I spent hunting.

nice coins, for myself , not much silver this years, but had not been hunting much ,too busy with work,

Congrats on your silver finds. ;). Always good to find something. You have to like the silver. Maybe the wheaties are deeper. Just makes another excuss to get back out there and look. ;D Good luck.
