Found this button yesterday in an area that gives up other items dating around 1800. Button is brass and 20mm in diameter. It is a thick button - 1mm. Edge is not tapered.

I can find other buttons with the same wording on the backmark but not in the same place.

Any idea as to who, what, and when?

Thanks,

Daryl

Since about half the stuff we found was from war of 1812, I guess I'll put it in that pile.

Thanks!!
