Hi folks, this stone was found on the same shore within a fifty yard area as the previous posted two (pic of all 3 stones for comparison)...it seems to be of the same 'grainy granite type'. Half mooned shape w/ gouged middle and broken/damaged end..(very hard to show/shadow in pics) but they are there. Any thoughts?
Thanks.

Leather softening tools?

Well it's not a readily identifiable artifact, there is the possibility it may have been used as a hammerstone based on your description.

You can see where it was chipped on the end, like quito sais it's not a regular artifact ,but it could have been a tool that was used for the moment it was needed and then disposed of. :icon_thumleft:

Can I see the bottom of the black one? The flat end. Id like to see if it shows any use wear on it. Thanks, rock
