Ankle deep in nuggets (Cursed canyon of gold)

Hello! I'm a newbie to this board, and to treasure hunting itself. I love reading the stories about lost treasure -- makes me want pack up and head out to look! I've read and re-read this one and I would love to go, but it's a long ways from Omaha, Nebraska... :(

Here is another link that doesn't work. Today's tale on Lost Treasure Online has nothing to do with nuggets. They change the story every day. You can't get back to the old tale.

One thing that I have been doing now is posting the link ...but then copying and pasting the story...because I always go to newspaper links...and the story is gone...

losttreasure won't let you copy their stories.

FOR SITES I CANT PRINT FROM, I USE MY DIGITIAL CAMERA,THEN UPLOAD AND PRINT. WHY PAY THOSE WHORES $2.95. SAVE YOUR MOOLA FOR THE BEER.

Now I'm not saying *I* do this, but I've seen"others" highlight the article, go to "File", "Copy", open MS Word, and paste. Instant story of the day, perfectly preserved... Like I've said, *I* don't do this.... ;)

Seems like too much work. Why not do a screen capture, then use Word or Wordpad and paste, then a cut-and-paste to this board?

WELL TRUE IT IS A BIT OF WORK,HOWEVER THIS WAY I AM ABLE TO PUT TOGETHER A NOTEBOOK ON ARTICLES THAT INTEREST ME FOR FOR REFERANCE. FOR ME IT HAS PAID OFF IN FINDING RELICS I MIGHT HAVE MISSED OTHERWISE. I HAVE BEEN DOING THIS SINCE 1994,WHEN I FIRST LOGGED ONTO THE INTERNET. 8) ;D

I don't know. Seems like the copy-paste-save-burn to disk would be less work. Your method sounds too much like the executive who prints his e-mail, then scans it in as a jpg, converts to text, and saves in Word. And the "print screen" button takes a snapshot of your entire desktop just like taking a photo of the screen would, but without the resolution loss.

Oh, well, if it works for you then it works.

THAT IS PART OF MY PERSONA SO TO SPEAK,AS I WAS A EXCUTIVE,I"VE OWNED A JEWLERY STORE,RESTURANT AND NEWS STAND,AND NOW I OWN INVESTMENT REAL ESTATE, SO THE TIME EQUATION,NEVER REALLY BOTHERED ME,AS MY ATTITUDE WAS AND IS ,IF IT AIN'T BROKE,DONT FIX IT,AND ALWAYS GO ON GUT FEELING.........RIGHT NOW I AM IN THE PROCESS OF OF OBTAINING A CALIFORNIA REAL ESTATE BROKERS LICENSE,AND HAVE LAID OUT SKETCHES TO PUBLISH 2 BOOKS. :) ;D 8) ::)

Might I suggest one thing, though, TrapperJ? Don't type in all capitals. It is very hard on the eyes to read, and amongst most of the Internet it is interpreted as yelling.

There are names for people who claim executive privilege -- especially when they are on a board they don't own. And they aren't very nice names.

Well, then, use your browser's tools to increase the font size. All caps doesn't make it any easier to read, font size would. (Menu bar - View - Text Size)

Don't you believe courtesy has its place, too?
