Hello folks
I have new permission to a farm in the Midlands - England
It is a 3 .5 hour drive from where I live so can't go all the time
On new field found the gilt bronze Saxon buckle and other bronze fitting they were close by to each other approx 5 metres. I am not sure what the bronze item with loop is but think it may be Saxon. Any ideas welcome
Also found cowrie shell in adjacent field and another gilt bronze fitting. Unsure of age.
As we were detecting the farmer was ploughing so we had limited time on this productive patch. There is a known Saxon grave site1 mile from field. I wonder if this field is an ancient site? Will go back when I can.
