It was warm yesterday and the ice is out so I went down to the river to try the shallow areas with my scoop. Within minutes one of my boots started leaking, so it was back to the shore.

I started working the area where I had found the many brass hinges, and you'll never guess what I found....... yep, more hinges. Not much else, but this lock was in the area too. Not very deep either. Perhaps it was due to using my new 6x9 coil vs the stock AT coil.

I have looked on the web, and have not found one like it. Any ideas as to age? It is all brass (yes, I cleaned it up a bit).

Corbin is a fairly common lock, although I have not seen that model. They are still in business, write them!

I thought I recognized the Corbin brand. OP I've had some wonderful responses when I've written companies about old products. I look forward to finding out what they told you.

Nice lock. Good thing you got out of the water before you got swamped!

Can't say I recognize the lock, but great find! ;) congrats and HH!

Nice find. Antique Padlocks By David Heuermann This address has Davids email address. Send him a brief with a photo. You can scour through this site and most likely find your lock if its in his data base. Art
