Found only a few metres from a Roman Route about 8 inches deep:
About 7 1/2 cm long but would have been a few centimetres longer in its original state.
I'm thinking (hoping) its a Roman Spoon - I think its made of pewter or it could be very old bronze - looking very fragile - the photos don't do it justice but here they are:-

Anybody else found something similar? Would love a positive ID, Thanks

By the deteriation, I would say is is a pewter spoon,
1700's or very early 1800's.

Indeed, most likely early 1800s pewter spoon.
