I thought this had a unique shape when I found it in North Texas and thought perhaps it could have been a cutting or scraping tool. Since I am in no way close to an expert on these things I thought I would post here. Any opinion is welcome.

5.25" length, 2.75" height, approx 1.75" wide. It's flat on the top and has an edge. I also provided pictures of how it fits into my hand.

I believe that's just a broken rock, and not a tool. Keep looking, the artifacts are out there.

It may be a natural rock, and may also have been used as a tool/scraper, etc. I have some flint ones a lot like that and was told many years ago they were scrapers. Then, a geologist told me he was sure they were natural. Either way, what native american in their right mind would not utilize that for a scraper? Look closer at the sharp edge, it looks like it may have been worked. Remember this: I know nothing but what I was told about mine. And that guy could have been a psychopath for all I know...

Looks almost like a big removal flake but I don't see any edge work on it. Might of been just tossed after it was removed.

Mother nature gives us these rocks to speculate. I do not see any work by man upon it. But it sure fits the hand.

Yep, 'fits perfectly in the hand' is always the clincher, isn't it? I think it's just a rock, but I would go back and take a closer look at the area you found it. Could be the result of tool making.
