Turn the reverse 90 degrees clockwise to see the "K"; meaning a copper coin called a half follis: 20 nummi Don...
SWEET now that I know what it is I can research thank you soooo much lol I'm exited :D

Thanks, but the hard part is still to come: ID-ing the monarch. Unfortunately, for centuries a somewhat similar obverse and reverse existed on Byz. coins. There may not be enough left on this one to do a more specific ID. At least you have a partial attribution: Byzantine, the composition and the denomination.

I'm thinking Justinian I, but I don't know now that you say there are similar ones...
