I picked this up at a flea market today for $1, cant be to bad of a deal. Its quite heavy for its size, and appears to have a head and some lettering around one edge and an "I" on the back, and possibly the word "ONE". Anybody see an ancient coin like this before?

Nothing wrong with it, other than a little over cleaning

Yes, possibly Justin II 565-578, Decanummium of Nikomedia (NIK in the exergue)
The "I" represents the value (decanummium--ten nummi) .
IMO, the "I" does not represent 'year 1' as stated in this reference:

Don....

This one seems to be just like it but the obverse face is a bit different and i dont see a distinct "1" on the right side of the reverse
