Ancient Coin #2 - What is it?

Anyone know what this one is? Got it same lot as the last one...It looks like it has been squished, there is the same face on both sides, its thick copper.

All the ones old enough to remember the name of that guy are dead except me and a few others! I don't recognize him though! Monty

What is the metal? It reminds me less of a coin and more of bullion that was struck to show origin. Many older gold and silver bars were round or sometimes even pancake-like. It made trimming them to weight much easier.

Its some kind of copper or bronze but i see where ur going with this, kind of like a mark to denote quality
