Hey all,
Been trying to do more research lately and went back to an old favorite High School here that I haven't hunted since the 80's because I just discovered it was built on an underground mining camp that began in the late 1800's and the closed during the depression. I have a better detector now but still found pretty much clads and trash except for these two things. I did a little more history on the mine and found the locals were too afraid to work it so the Coal Co. brought in a crew of Chinese Immigrants. The coin in the picture is a "Twenty Cash" coin from China circa 1900 and turned out to be pretty common. If the 20 had been numerals instead of being spelled out with letters it would have been worth 100$ or more but this one is only worth a couple dollars. The token I can't seem to identify or get a value on, there was an old B&B tap here years ago I remember but can't find any more info on it...These two were only a few feet apart and both were a little over 6 inches deep, anyone know if the token is genuine or repro or a key chain thingy? The strange thing is they are both exactly the same size, approx. that of a US half Dollar...thanks for reading, HH
