Came home from college for the weekend and decided to try out some of my spots that have produced some good CW relics in the past. Decided to turn over a log by the creek and turned up a Confederate Block A! The following morning, I decided to head across the bank and up a steep hill. I knew this area was a long shot, but the area was nice and flat and the trees in this spot appeared to be much younger than the surrounding ones. Got a solid 81-85 signal on my trusty AT Pro. Pulled a beautiful, intact CW federal cavalry spur. No sooner than I pulled that out, I checked again and got the rivets to the leather strap and a possibly homemade brass rowel! Boy, do I feel blessed growing up in Virginia.
