Went out today to an old goldfield for a relic hunt. Was dirty on getting a phone call whilst there before we had a go that the DR from our old town wouldn't fax through my misses script to our new place. Had to leave early and drive 140 kilometres round trip to get back in time to the other town to pick it up 😠
But we did whilst there get to take some pictures of an old goldrush days cemetery in the bush.
Almost totally reclaimed by the scrub there. Most headstones, actually were all wood bar one back then are gone, some remain but all name plaques on them long gone. Yrs ago some people put some tin tops on those that have remained to preserve those left. Is a strange feeling walking through the area. I think its one of a kind here in central Victoria.
Heres whats left.

Nice pictures that tell a story of people that made a living when the world was ve . ry different . We should all take a few minutes once in a while to remember how we got here

That’s cool that someone tried to preserve the headstones with tin. Always enjoy your pictures and sharing about were you live.
