This is a lucky charm (hopefully) that I found a couple weeks ago in a park. I says "keep me and you will have good luck" on one side and "golden anniversary KLAUS"on the other side. This was under a swing in the sand. It had obviously been lost recently even though the penny is dated 1956. On the bottom of the charm are the dates 1906 and 1956. It also says "the store of quality". I have never heard of a store named Klaus. Anyway I could use a little good luck about now... so I intend to keep it. ;D

It must have been a locally owned store. I can't find any references to it on the Internet using the info on the token. Cool find. Hopefully will bring you gold and silver finds for luck. Talk to some area old timers about it, they may know. Where are you located?

The name " Klaus " sounds familar, but I have no idea...
Cool find though,,, I was taking every little charm I found and putting them on my belt for luck...
Took them all off, as they were getting too muddy, and didn't want to loose them...
Good Luck & Happy Hunting~

I live near Seattle, Wa. I've lived here since 1969. I tried to find it on the internet as well...

Intrestingly, I have found two similar ones here in my area in the last year and half. One of which was for a store located in downtown Cincinnati and the other was for Sunsweet prune juice. I have seen the Sunsweet one on ebay when I found it. Cool find though.
Cheers!

I can remember those being around when I was a kid. I think they were key chains. You could find them at amusment parks and tourest stuff like Santa's land keepsakes. Cladius.

What I find interesting is how Abe was put in upside down, the shoe has to point upwards which would make Honest Abe inverted, Chris
