Hello everyone,
Some of you have read my previous "An hour at..." posts. Today was no exception, one hour, give or take, this time at a totally new place...
I had an unnaturally terrible day at work today (dont ask), and could not wait for 3pm to come around. I was originally going to hit a very large well known park with a HUGE sledding hill. After the day I had, I just wanted to find a nice quiet place to be alone with my thoughts, and my trusty Ace 250
I found a small out of the way park, and hit the soccer field. I got a couple pennies and a couple of dimes, then decided to hit the tot-lot. The ground was frozen for the first inch or so, and it made me sad to think that soon my treasure hunting season would come to an end. When I got to the tot lot, I ran a ring around the perimiter, and found a pocket spill. It was the funniest pocket spill I have found, I thought I found 3 quarters, but it ended up being Chuck E Cheese tokens
I walked about 6 or 7 feet and hit a signal I have received before, but never thought much of it. This signal, unlike the others, was solid from 4+ sides. I decided to dig. I pulled up a thin bracelet, stamped 14k Italy, my FIRST GOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was pumped! I would have shouted out, but by then, there were a couple people walking their dog, and I didnt want to sound like a weirdo :0
All in all, the time I spent at the park was WELL spent. In an hour to an hour and a half, I found:
(3) Chuck E Cheese tokens
(2) Quarters
(5) Dimes
(7) Pennies
(1) brooch with bluish stone inlays
(1) Orange stone w/ bezel
(1) 14k Gold bracelet made in Italy (4.2 grams)
Thanks for checking this out everyone. My FIRST GOLD! I am super pumped!
