It's still too hot for an all day dig so I've been keeping an eye on the gas station site that's being built a mile from the house. I've been waiting for them to move dirt, so I rode by and noticed 3 regulars talking with the owner so I stopped in too. They still haven't scraped anything but the owner asked us if we'd like him to move a little dirt off one of the huge piles still sitting there and we said heck yeah. The problem for me is I didn't have my detector with me but they did, darn it!! I took off quick to get it since it's only a mile away thinking surely they wouldnt get it all by the time I got back. I returned fast and the locals were already covering the small area .None of them had dug anything from what was in the dirt pile so they decided to leave and hit another 1890's construction site in town.I decided to stay, as this sites civil war period and that's what I'm after. Well I put the LTD in BP mode hoping they'd left something extra deep and they did! It wasn't a lot but I dug an underwear button, a spencer hull, and this nice coin. Not bad for an hour, and we're all still waiting for some more dirt to be moved. There's another good button or two in this place.Chalk this one up to the BP mode on the T2 LTD. It was so deep the 3 other diggers couldn't touch it with what they were using, they'd walked all over it 2 minelabs and a fisher F2. The T2 LTD is a monster of a detector

I'm digging in the lowcountry of South Carolina. The soil conditions are sandy in most places. Here's the last 2 Large cents I've found. One last year and one this year. They missed being twins by only one year :-X
