Some of you may not have any idea what i'm talking about but others will. You know how when you "save" a seller to your favorite sellers list you used to be able to add a note to it? That's how I used to keep track of particular items that I buy off of certain sellers and added a name to sellers that I know locally and even a few on here. You could just add a note and put what they sell or put their real name or tnet screen name in it. Anyway Ebay and all of it's genius has decided to do away with that feature. Instead they have implemented the "favorite sellers you follow" feature. You can no longer add a note to your favorite sellers, you can only "follow" them, like it's a damn blog or something. No longer can you add a note to the guy you buy your batteries, or bubble wrap, or labels from, or add a real name to a seller you know. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Thanks for nothing you freaking geniuses. It's like they're smoking crack over there or something, always fidgeting and running around in circles, like a chicken with it's head cut off trying to reinvent the freaking wheel. Leave well enough alone already. That's my complaint for the day.

Publicly traded companies have a duty to their shareholders to constantly "grow" the business. The goal is to always show constant growth on paper.

Unfortunately, I have seen this happen with many large companies. As they get bigger and continue to grow, they soon run out of "gas" and can no longer grow at the rate they desire.

People jump ship, move on, or get fired. New talent is brought in and voila... You get examples of what you are describing above.

I would have to agree that it seems like ebay is constantly changing their brand. I have yet to see them chnage anything for the positive. I am sure that all of these changes equals big dollars on paper for the company. Remember, all decisions are profit and growth driven - it is their duty to the shareholders.

I hear you loud and clear Diggum, I DETEST when they make all these useless little changes that don't accomplish anything except make selling more aggravating. Another great example is Yahoo. I used to use Yahoo News and Finance all the time, but over the last year or so, they've changed all the formats and the new pages are just awful now - ugly, hard to follow formats that are overloaded with ads and moronic celebrity drivel, and Yahoo Finance is so user-unfriendly now, you have to log in to follow your portfolio - UGH, you can't see news stories related to your stocks ticker symbols, etc, etc. I wish they would just stick to one format that users can get familiar with and quit making all these idiotic changes just for the sake of making changes! Or at least allow established users to "OPT OUT" of the new formats. Thanks for starting this thread and giving us a place to blow off steam!!

That is my rant too!

I have always said, there are people at fBay that will loose their jobs unless they can come up with new ideas. That is what they were hired to do. That is my theory and I am sticking to it.

I hated that follow thing the first time I saw it. I also used to make notes on sellers.
My first thought was" WTF? Does Ebay think they're Twitter now?"

I have another rant - when I'm getting bids on an item , I like to click on the bidders number after their user name to see their purchase history - the "View Item" thing is gone for purchases . I liked seeing if my bidders were big spenders . If they sold stuff - you can ''View'' that ....for now .

I just started on ebay and it could use alot of improvement. Like to the auto bidding, should only be able to set it up to $5.00. And the search on mobile sucks alot of missed items. Heck just the whole mobile site could be designed better. Like once you view a item it's there till it ends, you can't delete it. So your constantly getting flooded with reminders and other messages. Im mad right now about the auto withdraw of my fees since its not set up that way, I have to approve it. Why not take those fees right off the top like pay pal does. Then you know exactly at every moment what you have minus the. Fees already.

But my option doesn't matter to them. Other wise I'm happy with what I'm making on it. And the fees are not that bad, about $2 for every $20. I'm glad I gave it a chance.

Reminds me of two things!
1. The business's that ran their company with outdated practices and went bankrupt!
2. Companies that expanded into bankruptcies!
Well three actually:
3. Lack of understanding their customers needs and eventually bankrupting!:laughing7:
