An 1845 & 1785 Found in Derry NH
Hi all
I just wanted to share some pics with my fellow detectorist. I put on a Treasure Hunt here in Derry NH in
early Oct. This was all new to me, so I had to find out how others run their treasure hunts in the past.
We had about 10 people from the surrounding areas show up and had a wonderful day. I buried 40 coins that I
had donated by generous people. Think I could find any of the coins that I buried? NOOOOOOOOOO.
But I did come across a 1785 or 86 colonial Ct copper. Sorry the pics of that coin is not better, but the
fertilizer really did a number on the coin and that's the best I can get this cleaned.
As for the 1845 large 1cent penny its in much better condition, I stopped by a house down the street from me that's been there since the 1700's. They still had a dirt drive way, and I only had like 25 mins to look around before I had to be
back at the house for another engagement. It took me only about 20 mins, it was outside the front door
only buried about 1 inch below the surface. Wow.. it was great... I still have a bit more of that drive way to
lookover. I'll let you know more as I detect....hope you enjoy the pics..
