Hey all,
Had another very quick work trip to the Netherlands and was able to make it out for a few hours of digging with my Equinox 800. Wish I could get out there for a few months and do some proper digging...but I take what I can get.
Some general coins: these guys ranged from the 1910s to 1959s
A broken 1600-1700 nail (originally thought to be a pipe stoker). A lead game piece or perhaps a trade weight.
A couple of buttons: one has an interesting hallmark that maybe someone is familiar with? Looks like an anchor or an upside down “T”.
A religious medal (perhaps someone can suggest an age?)
Some older coins (unfortunately chewed up by the plow): Holandia and Zeelandia and a few others.
Best coin of the hunt was a nice 1702 Frisia (which I hope to clean up a little).
Lastly a “what’s it” item. I was originally thinking a whistle or a pipe fragment but the hole seems to small for it to be a functioning pipe. Anyone have any ideas
