AMMO REPORT

Have no problem buying ammo down here, gun show had lots and I can find .45 and 9MM at the local gun shops....

The online ammo sites are all stocked..... I can buy a 1000 rounds of .45 cal hollow point for $560 which is .56 cents a round......Can get a box of 50 rounds for $32.00 which is .64 cents a round.....

I can buy a 1000 rounds of 9mm FMJ for $375 which is .375 cents a round......Can get a box of 50 rounds for $27.00 which is .54 cents a round.....

a friend says he cannot find 22's. you?

A little harder but yes can find here.. I could have bought all I wanted at gun show...... I have about 400 rounds of 22 LR, I am more interested in 9mm and .45 for now......

When you need to make dead permanent.

All the people I work with here in SW VA are constantly searching for .22LR, a continuous topic of discussion.

And they find NONE....

Guess i could buy and take up there and sell......

Bought a couple 500 plus rounds of .22.
Hitting bigger dealers on delivery day seems to be ticket.
3 of us looking for some particular rem 300 mag 160 nosler partition federal loads finding the time of year is wrong but they were within ones grasp at what seemed too high a price.Seems it was 60.00 a box of 20. The 160 gr. running 20.00 a box more than the lighter weights.
Smaller shops here in Michigan still seeing a trickle of backorders come in.Seeing bagged, not boxed centerfire pistol rounds ,(reloads) in local shop.

Yes, .22LR are harder to come by.
Does anyone remember when you could buy a 50 round box of .22's for 0.59 cents.
We'll never see those prices again.

I do most of the ordering for "TheRidgeShooting.com" which is mainly a gun range but we do keep some stock. Mainly for the handgun classes and some rifle ammo as we have long range rifle classes as well. I LOVE to shoot the .22s about as much as anything. Still virtually none available for us. Being as we are small, the Big Box stores come first to the distributors but I can say in general the ammo is getting better. The odd calibers is where I am afraid it is going to be tough for some hunters this deer season. Finally able to order some Glocks and S&W's but again much fewer than before OBUMMER got his hand in it. 1.6 Billion in ammo for Homeland Security? That really hurt us. Still very few Ruger handguns. The AR's are abundant now so at least that has eased up.:icon_thumleft:

.22LR ammo is still very hard to find here in North Texas. I was able to pick up a couple of boxes a month or so ago, but haven't seen any since. I can find reasonably priced 9mm and 38 special about half of the time, so I would say they are in decent supply. I can also find .357, .380 and .25 caliber ammo, if I care to pay for the higher quality, higher priced stuff. Shotgun shells are plentiful, and I was even able to buy some 16ga small game loads for one of my older guns the other day.

Ruger pistols are back in the gun cases down here and plenty appear to be available. I've been looking at the LCP .380 and P95 for awhile.

Overall situation down here is better than it was, but still in short supply.

yup. I remember a penny a round.

I have been told the stores get them in but people are waiting for them and buying them all up as soon they come in .22 are the hardest to find. Go early HH

I have a ton of 22LR but I've been stocking up for some time now. Also have a lot of 22Long and 22Short. I bought a couple rifles without S/N's that can fire those as well as the LR's. My grandkids will be able to enjoy shooting just like I did. I've seen 22LR at gun shows but they are gouging people on the price.
We have also been cranking out reloaded 357, 38, 338 Win Mags, and have a bunch of material for 44 mag and 45 auto. One son has reloaded over 1,000 223 rounds and we have material for a lot more. Reloading is fun and relatively cheap compared to store prices although some powders are hard to find locally. We can also load 30-06, 40 and 9mm. Thing is, because ammo is so scarce right now, it's hard to shoot it up without thinking we may not be able to replace it at some point. :(

gotta figure with the way things are going lately, I am not supprised that 22 lr is getting scarce, that and 338 lapua, as I am sure you guys know those are two of the rounds that will easily go thru body armor, course you could always get yourself a 50 BMG, supprisingly a vest will stop it, but you will wish you were dead anyway, when it still crushes your intire ribcage lol.

It is getting easier to come by here. LGS has some for 8¢ each. Some people will buy them and then sell/try to sell them for 10-20¢ each. Limit is 5 boxes of 100. On sale they run about 6¢ each.
