This is a piece of Amethyst, a large core, it has been knapped by Indians, when light shines through it, just right, it prisms creating faces. Has a lot of faces, externally, and internally, one is a full head and body of a alien looking guy. I seen the prism faces outside , so I tried to duplicate different light angles, and backgrounds, Here are a few pics of my attempts to recover the images from within.. A jade looking bead, and a piece of turquoise, looked polished, was found with it, plus a couple other stones. The double pic there a face of a guy, with helment on, looking right. They look more realistic, with natural light, on cloudy day. Best I could do holding a camera, light, and looking at the same time.. Thanks Justintime...

Nice group of stones!

I seen it cool.that's wild.

Kind of like finding images in clouds though those are more distinct, big piece..............63bkpkr

Knapped Amethyst - Wonderful! :notworthy: If I'd found that lovely & historical amethyst, I could be happy even if I never found anything else! I enlarged all your pics to see the stones better. Though your carved piece may be jade, it could also be the softer serpentine which is more comon, easier to carve, and has a similar color range as jade - or possibly the carved piece is even another turquoise as turquoise can be that shade of green. In any case, the carved bead is delightful, wow! As to your shiny turquoise piece, is turquoise often found in your region of USA? HH Andi

I can imagine that about 2,000 years ago, Native American Brave Eagle sat knapping his next atlatl point on a beautiful piece of stone that he found. About half way through, he looked at the stone in the setting sun and saw the face of the "gray" staring back at him. At this time, Brave Eagle said to himself, "Oh hell no..." and chucked the stone out into the weeds...

Man that is so cool. I love rocks and have never seen one like this. Great one of a kind find!

Thanks guys, I have been finding strange rocks and stones, since I was a child. I've never seen something so strange, and how real it, becomes when the light is just right. There are others, but quite difficult to extract to camera, the light spot is difficult to find. There are little flat spots, and when I shine a laser into them, it glows like crazy. Thanks Justintime
