American Railway Supply Co. tag! Help ID?

Well I found a tag today and after doing some research I realized what a piece I found...so I think?!?!?!?

I found at the top is AM.RY CO! The rest is OCEAN VIEW 1254 BATH...is this awesome are what!!! Any help would be great..I think it is my oldest find to date,

Well, what does your research say?

Does the tag say the American Railway on the back, or is that what you researched?

I thought it was an old Hotel room key tag, like Oceanview hotel room 1254...

I've never seen that before.

Nope at the top by the hole it says "am.ry.s.co.n.y tag"! says they quit making tags in the 1920's. hoping someone has more on it! I see a shadow box for this one in my man cave!
