This will allow for the reasonable accommodation of amateur radio antennas in many places where they are currently prohibited by homeowner associations or private land use restrictions.
The bill would guarantee Amateur Radio operators who are living in deed-restricted communities, such as a homeowner's association (HOA), the ability to construct an effective outdoor antenna. It is now awaiting action in the U.S. Senate.
If this bill passes the Senate, we will be one step closer to allowing amateur radio operators, who provide emergency communications services, the right to erect reasonable antenna structures in places where they cannot do so now.
On September 12, The US House of Representatives passed the "Amateur Radio Parity Act" to protect the rights of Radio Amateurs. Now is the time to contact your U.S. Senators and urge them to support this important legislation.
