Was up at Bass Lake CA, working on a friend's aunt's vacation home. They used to live here when her husband was alive. The house is absolutely full of treasures! BUT! when my friend was showing me an old (but still working) blacksmiths blower, IT CAUGHT MY EYE! A Joshua Hendy Hydraulic Giant! For those on the east coast, it's a water powered monitor they used to gravity feed water to and blast away mountains with, to expose the gold or flush it down the hillsides to awaiting sluice boxes. It's approx. 10' long and looks to be in pretty good shape, including the double joints! Also saw what appears to be a flat plate type pelton wheel. Didn't have my camera in my work truck, but will when I return to finish the job!

His aunt is 95, and they're talking about a yard sale. I will be there! or maybe trade to repair their heater??

You never know what will show up at the old houses, not too many would know what that is.

Fossis..............
