Unfortunately, what you have is a cast novelty 'coin'. It wasn't made to deceive, but as a toy or souvenir. It has no value, but keep looking!
 

Emil is correct, they are replica coins, lot of business give them out and sell them along the east coast.
 

Yes, it's a replica coin - they often sell them at tourist areas by the ocean, museums and on the internet.
I've found a few of them - better than finding nothing at all I guess.
 

Your replica coin was not manufactured in compliance with the Hobby Protection Act (1973) which states, in part:
"An imitation numismatic item which is manufactured in the United States, or imported into the United States for introduction into or distribution in commerce, shall be plainly and permanently marked “COPY”."
There are some replicas that are made with such high quality as to fool many people, including 'experts'.

On the other hand, there are still many authentic coins of this type that are still out there; keep hunting !!
