I RAN DOWN TO THE LAKE THIS MORNING, WE HAVE A SMALL BEACH THERE, NEVER SEEN ANYONE MDING. DID ABOUT 30 MIN. GOT MAYBE ABOUT ANOTHER HOUR AND A HALF TO FINNISH IT UP, I'LL RUN DWN THURS. MORNING SEE WHAT I CAN FIND

oakalley2 .... I see you are in Hattiesburg. I am VERY close by to there

The "lake" with the beach you went to ... was it at Paul B. Johnson Park on 49 ? If so, be CAREFULL. They have not allowed MDs to be used on the grounds for quite a while now. Not really sure of the reason, but I suspect it is because of the few LAZY IDIOTS who somehow find the time to DIG holes, just not the time to FILL them. There is a sign at the main office concerning the ban of Metal Detecting on Park grounds. ( Be warned ) I know of a few people from Camp Shelby ho have been run off from there by the Police. If they hassle members of the Military ......

Real shame too .... I have driven through that park many times just DROOLING over the many potential "Honey Holes" that are there !!
