Now it could go to the early 1900's but still old. It would be gold plated and acid test on back would prove that. Saying if a acid test was done, the base metal well show

No worries thanks for taking the time to help guys still a little piece of history for all I know this could have been to war and back a little treasure in my mind :)

Nhbenz is correct as usual -- that version was introduced in 1923.

More specifically about the one you found... the style of attachment-pins, the "chrysanthemum/snowflake" pattern on its back, and the backmark "Acid Test" mean is is from World War 2 (and later). It was made by Amcraft (American Metal Craft co,) of Attleboro Massachusets, one of the most prolific producers of US Military insignia during World War 2. That company is still in business, manufacturing US Military insignia.
