Equinox 800, AT Pro
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
A blustery Saturday with the ground saturated from snow and rain sounded like an invitation to detect.
I went to a nearby athletic field that I've had some success in the past.
Usually I can hit modern coins right away, however I couldn't come up with a clean unambiguous signal. I dug all the old barbed wire, nails etc for the better part of an hour and was starting to get discouraged.
A bouncy midtone (20-24) on my 800 suggested a penny.
Popped the plug and was rewarded with gold.
It's been awhile.
In short order a dime, 49 Wheatie and 2 memorials revealed themselves.
The ring is 10k, hit by a mower, missing it's stone with a gouged shank but still beautiful.
Thanks for looking
