The story starts yesterday. As I was finishing up my lunch break hinting an old park. I was in the way back to my car when a lady in a truck pulls up

She says see that house right there?
I say yeah.... Well she said when she was a kid she lost a silver dollar in the bushes. She recently took all the bushes out and for the first time in 40 years it was clear. She gave me permission to search for it. And I offered to give it to her if I found it and she declined. And said keep it If I found it

I only had a few minutes to check and got a real high tone right near the stairs. I see a bigger coin. Figured I found it and went home ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1419947875.213672.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1419947889.080799.jpg

Well get home and clean it up to find a 1963 British penny. Kinda of neat find but not s silver dollar.

It nagged me all night wondering if this is what she lost. The time frame seemed to fit. And to a kid maybe she thought it was a dollar coin?

As luck would have it. Driving right by the location a little but ago and had to satisfy my curiosity. 4 ft over and a little higher than where I searched yesterday gives me a screaming high tone. And I got rewarded with a 1902 barber half

This is my second silver half for the year and first barber half

Now as I am driving up the highway I am wondering did she mean half dollar? Or is there a silver dollar still on that hillside?? Looks like I will be stopping again later to find out lol

Your better than me cause after finding the first one they would be calling the law to get me off their lot. I would have dug up every little chirp.

Congrats on your first Barber Half. That lead sure produced.

sweet, gotta love it, I would

That was so sweet of the lady to invite you to look for the big silver. Hope she really did lose a silver dollar and you find that next visit. Congrats.

Your getting closer, congrats on the two finds.

I stopped back for a few minutes this afternoon and no more silver but got a 1910 wheat. Dug about 15 of them this year. The darn 1909 eludes me. Don't care if it is an s or vdb
Would justs be nice to get the 1909

Gonna give the years another go next week. I will have to ask the lady of the half is the coin she lost

I would go back. If she asked if you found her Dollar Coin, I would be honest and so No, then keep on looking,

Thank you for sharing your hunt and those pictures with us

Nice story, and really nice coin! GL&HH.

Nice finds congrats on the barber and thanks for sharing.

Nice recoveries, hope the next is a seated!

I also got another keeper at my old farm site. This is only the 5th or 6Th old coin to come outta this site. Very trashy. Tons and tons of iron. The only up side is when you find a coin they are usually really old.
The other coins that came out of here wet. 1820 lc. 1843lc. Merc. And 2 or 3 wheats
Yesterday's find was a nice 1863 fatty ih. Too bad my coin to hunt time ratio is now like 12 hrs for every 1 coin
