I'm sure the specifics a part this deal are between the parties and protected by disclosure agreements, but my company also made a bid on the 1715 Fleet. Our offering was an independent effort and ended up being a tandem offer with another company. The summation of it was simply the rights to market, advertise and manage/salvage the site. Although, the Fishers would retain certain considerations and a percentage of future finds by the new entity.
It was clear early on during my talks with Taffi that the Brisbane's were a "shoe in." My assessment of that was their financial ability to continue in a productive way that would benefit all who worked the site. Mr. Brisbane and his son were a logical choice from a financial standpoint and their choice to allow Greg and Gold Hound Treasures to lead the way in their first season, IMO was well planned and executed.
My hats off to them all.
