I love the color of the different Alibates flints. These 4 Fresno Triangles were probably made from the same same material near the same time.
The Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument is above the Canadian River in North Texas, The quarries are wide and extensive and supplied thousands of prehistoric peoples with a bounty of varied colored flint that emerged from the Dolomite hills.
These 4 Fresno arrow tips are very similar in color and makeup it's uncanny. They were all found in Moore County, Texas.
How did they make these gems without glasses?

Very nice, I’m always on the lookout for alabates here in se Kansas. I think I’ve got a flake or two but I may be just out of range of normal trade.

Very nice material. I used to knap and have worked it many times. I made those triangles without glasses when I was younger. I couldn’t do it anymore! I got a nice box of good sized Alibates flakes from another knapper that lives near the monument. He finds them in a wide area on private ground near there. The beefsteak is my favorite.

It might be older the better that there was a better quarry down in Kay County, OK, so they didn't need to trade from farther away. (Think that's right) First point I ever found when I was about 6 in SWOK was alibates. Still, I've seen it here in Colorado and in Western Utah.
