Alaska Clubs

Are these clubs still in progress? Or are there any MD'ers near Anchorage or around there that get together to go out and have some fun detecting? It would be nice to learn a thing or two from some of you veteran detecters. And I am sure there are a few other people that are newbies or just want to meet other detectorists in there area, that would love to join in as well.
