Cool! I must have missed that back in Feb.
Last week, an old guy was telling me how my great-uncle had sold him $300 Face silver back in the 70's for $750 Too bad uncle didn't hang on to them for his favorite nephew (He did actually give me a $5 gold piece before he died in 1983, he never married).
Anyway, the guy was telling me about an "Alabama half dollar, 2X2", that was in the lot my uncle sold. He said he immediately went and sold it for $100. I had to come home and google, I was unaware of this commem.

i live in alabama and all i find is alabama halves

I've seen several Alabama halves. Some guy loves marking BAMA JOE on halves. How they get over here to GA is beyond me. Were talking 100's of halves here guy.
I was in a local pawn shop & a toothless local strolled in with a real Alabama commerative, 2X2. Let it go for 40 bucks. I would have spoken up, but the owner sells me lots of the low end stuff well below spot. It was difficult to keep my mouth shut. HH Doug
