how can you sell from germany and send via usps, where is the usps shipping center in germany?

Because I am in the military on a US Air Base in Ramstein and you know that because you googled my location already when you wanted
to buy my TDI Pro. However since I was not interested in waiting till may with sale and handing it over to you at
the airport in Frankfurt and was not interested in trading it for your grandpas croatian ham and olive oil you call me a possible scammer? Wow that is low. I advise you to withdraw your friends request you send me here and stop commenting my ads.

take a picture of the shipping center from that us air base, you just registered as a user a few days ago and you're already selling so much stuff, don't worry for the final test i'll call bbh and ask him if he sold you anything, if bbh can verify this then sorry and then my bad, but better safe than sorry

Not that I have to proof anything to you but here is a nice little picture! Now I expect a full public apology from you. And let me say this, this is not the way to treat a veteran, especially one that fought for YOU AND YOUR PEOPLE during IFOR and SFOR. I expect your apology....

i'm not apologizing yet i still have to call bbh, then i'll also personally call that air base. Its fishy because you're a veteran but told me you have to go on a business trip for the company and wouldn't be back mid may, fine i said we can meet up in germany when you returned and you still don't have any time? i don't get why a veteran wouldn't have any time and act so jumpy and hassled with a simple meetup with a fellow detectorist?

Enough, this goes to a moderator, call whoever you want LOL

I informed a moderator. He will possibly close my ad since I was not supposed to sell anything as a new member BUT nobody calls me a scammer!

Sorry ! I don't Know you Personally. and As per our Rules

A WARNING ABOUT ONLINE FORUM CLASSIFIEDS

In recent years, online classifieds scams have increased and have affected many people. They pose threats to both sellers and buyers. Typical Examples: (there are others!)

A scammer posing as a seller may post an ad for an item that he/she doesn't really have.

The seller will then ask for money, and after receiving it, refer the buyer to the shipping company who is supposed to send the item to the buyer. The buyer waits for few days and contacts the seller, but there's no answer. The buyer tries again for couple of more days... but still no answer. Finally the buyer decides to call the shipping company with the reference number for the item. The shipping company replies that they don't have anything related to this reference number or it is not for your item.

A scammer posing as a buyer may ask for the item to be shipped, and promise "the check is in the mail..." but the check never arrives. There is an almost unlimited variety of potential scams. From simple to complex, from petty amounts to millions of dollars. We strongly urge you to use caution when making deals online!

If anyone makes a statement such as "I am a valued/respected member of TreasureNet, trust me", BE WARY! If anyone makes a statement such as "the operators at TreasureNet.com know and trust me", THAT IS FALSE! We do not vouch for the credibility or honesty of anyone at TreasureNet! (but we still love most of you! ;))

Be especially wary of any dealings with people outside your local area.

We recommend you always verify the person's identity and location you are dealing with before completing any deal... Have them call you, and confirm their phone number. If their phone number is blocked or unidentified USE EXTREME CAUTION! While confirming their phone number is no guarantee of their legitimacy or honesty, it is one thing you can do to lessen the risk of being scammed!

TreasureNet urges all users to use due diligence when using our Classified Ad section.

A TDI Pro

Since I was basically accused of being a possible scammer by user erte it does not make sense to keep this ad up any longer. So I will seek other ways to sell my detector. Thank you for your consideration. I am still waiting for a public apology by erte....

Sorry for your experience !
IF I knew you personally I could Back you up.
but as Is I'm potentially between a rock & a hard place.
If he hadn't contacted you & Just threw out Accusations blindly would be different.
as is he apparently was interested and something made him nervous :dontknow:

Good Luck !

No not quite like that. he is looking via an ad here in the forum for a TDI Pro. I offered him one and he writes me back this long email that he is about to fly back to Croatia for a while and that he would like to invite me (I don't know the guy at all) and he would offer me the full price for the TDI or maybe some trade for his grandpas ham and olive oil and stuff. Well again I don't know the guy and it seems like a nice offer but i just want to sell the TDI and need no ham&stuff. He googles my location and suggests to meet at Frankfurt airport when he is there in 8 to 10 days to hand over the TDI in person. I agreed at first but found out that I have to leave for about 3 weeks. So communicate this to him and he said he would fly later so we could meet at the airport. Since he seems able to delay his flight for that long, I offer to send the TDI via USPS priority to him in the US. He denies and wants to meet in Frankfurt. I told him I want to sell the TDI now and not wait and that I withdraw my offer and sell the TDI elsewhere. Within minutes he writes on my two ads, which are totally unrelated to the TDI offer I made him and calls me a potential scammer. He doesn't know anything about the military and questions that I am able to use USPS from a US military base in Germany and also questions that a Veteran and retired military member has to go out of the country on a 3 week trip.

What bugs me also, this very guy who claims to have grown up in Croatia, treats me, a veteran of the Balkan war (IFOR/SFOR in the 1990's) like that. A guy that ensured he and his people can live in peace. This is wrong on so many levels. On top he has the nerve to play the investigator and wants to call the vendor I bought the TDI from a year ago and wants to call the military installation to verify we have a USPS post office. Who the hell does he think he is?

I hope this explains the whole mess a bit better and we can put this topic to rest. if he calls BBH and asks, he will find out that I got the TDI from BBH like I posted on the picture, if he calls Ramstein Air Base in Germany he will find out that there is a post office that sends ALL mail to the US by USPS and he maybe even able to wrap hin head around the fact that a retired veteran has a job that requires him to go on a TDY/deployment.

Happy Hunting

No worries, it was my mistake in the first place. I just read a posting by an admin, that you have to be a charter member in order to sell anything. After I posted my ads I saw a later posting by a moderator that you have to be a charter member AND 30 day member of the forum. So my bad in the first place. Just not the business of the user erte to spam my postings with his accusations because a deal for him went sour. The two things are not related at all but he took it upon himself to try to drag me in the mud.

I wasn't aware of the 30 day member thing.
If I was , it escaped my brain at the moment.
But I suppose it Makes sense.

Good Luck ! & I hope you stick around.
We do have a great Bunch of Members here :coffee2:

Thanks and I will stick around!

Wow, what an idiot. Take a picture of the post office, you have to be kidding me, yeah that will go over real well with the Post Master and MPs. Not to mention your wife I do not think would be so happy explaining to her chain of command why her husband made the blotter report.

Then has the nerve to complain about you selling stuff because you have been here only a couple weeks less than him, you been here less and have already supported the forum in becoming a charter member.

Sorry you went through this, not everyone here is like this.

Erte, last I checked your not a mod, if you had issue you should have contacted a mod, not attack a member in the forums who has been here 3 weeks less than you because he turned down your offer.
