I found this on a new site... it was a farmhouse in north alabama. I was told it was a caretakers house and it was torn down in 1970. Can't tell you much more.. i will hunt the site more in depth over the next couple weeks and know a little more. I think the house was built in the 30's, my best guess.

It might be a "Spirit of St.Louis" commemorative button.

It is a two peice... the front looks like copper and the back is more rusted.

There is one quite similar listed in the book of buttons as being an: Aeroplane button, 2pc., circa 1940
