Age on Terracotta Pottery

I've posted the smaller piece with the grooves here before, someone said it looked early settler... But how old is early settler? 1600s? 1700s? Looks similar to spanish olive oil jars to me... But really its to small to really tell what it went to... The other piece is a more recent find, not sure on age, both of these were found on the same lot.

Hard to say. Could be a recently made flowerpot. Not sure how you'd date something that's made today as it was made thousands years ago?

probably is part to a flower pot, but the small piece i dont think so.
