Age of this buckle?

Hi all. I recently found this iron strap buckle and was wondering how old it is. I found only about 15 feet away from some colonial shoe buckles. However, this buckle still has leather attached to it, which makes me think that it could be more modern.




Some close up pictures. There is a large iron “rivet” in the leather next to the buckle.

That would be my guess as well.
