Interesting form...the ears look like what i would expect to see on a trade axe but the flared bit is something I've never seen on this style of axe...it's a :icon_scratch:

I've got one that looks close to yours. :icon_scratch: And if I remember correctly it came from a mid to late 1800's site.Which don't help much cause no telling how long it was carried around I guess.Here I can't or don't even hunt for iron just no need as the enviroment is to harsh.I see things like old rail road track and such reduced to nothing more than a brittle thin knife blade look.But once in awhile I'll pick up something only to watch it crumble to pieces. :( It would have to be big & solid to survive here. :(
