Anyone have any insights as to the approximate age of this buckle based on the engravings or form? This is a small, very heavy buckle that appears to have been hand forged. Shield and ends were probably applied, though its difficult to tell. Buckle appears to be silver with a very dark patina on reverse. The welds on reverse look absolutely ancient and there is substantial wear to the engraving at front. Thanks!

looks to be 1960s-70s but trying to copy an older style :icon_thumright:

I think you are correct. The camera picked up something my eye didn't see which is some brass poking through what is likely silver plating. This one is a repro. Thanks!
