Age of axe

This axe head was found about 12 inches down while metal detecting a property that dates back to the mid 1700’s. Anyone have an idea of age on this axe head?? Thanks in advance. Thanks for the help, looks like it’s probably a European design, still can’t pinpoint an age

Going by the size in your hand I would say it was a hewing hatchet. They were smaller than a broad axe and rarer. It appears to be manufactured rather than "smith made"? I would say mid 1800's?
