I went on a long overdue agate hunt early yesterday morning. It was foggy and a little misty but it was great to get out when it is too cold for mosquitoes. :coffee2:

A really sad part about the trip is on the way home I hit a goldfinch and she did not make it. :crybaby2: I would give all these finds back to the earth if I knew it would bring the bird back.

Not real sure what this rock is but it has an awesome pattern so I had to keep it.

That's some really nice material you have there.

Nice agates. The bottom one almost looks like it could be a fairburn?

Thanks guys for the comments.

I really do not think I would consider the last rock an agate. I suppose it could be agatized something but it lacks translucency. (An opaque moss agate! Only kidding). It looks similar to some hornblende specimens but only vaguely. I think if I grind it down and polish it that it would make a great "picture stone".
