I found this agate in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. I am familiar with lake superior gates but have never seen an agate like this. Any idea what it is?

My guess would be a brecciated ( shattered ) jasper, or tuff infilled with chalcedony. Cool looking stone.

Welcome Pears, beautiful specimen?

One of the interesting details is that it has "Vugs" in it. That's a medium or small cavity caused by great stress
from tectonic folding and pressure.

I'm not a rock hound or a geologist but we have a family joke about vugs. My father in law
was a great amateur geologist and gemologist. He'd found a specimen while deer hunting
one time. He was showing and explaining the phenomena to me as his aged mother looked
on. She had been watching him collecting specimens for years so when he turned to her
and said "look mom vugs", she calmly replied "I know petrified"! So for many years now
when one of us shows something to the other we say "I know petrified!" I guess you had
to be there.

Thanks for sharing and best wishes!
