Went out this afternoon to a site that was somehow used by the Army during World War I, but it also sits on land that was occupied in Colonial times, so possible best of both worlds. Except for today, all the finds seemed to be the WWI era finds. :(
One item appears to be some type of bell, perhaps a Sarna bell?, a nice suspender with a bust on it, and one holed ruined IH . The photos are the wooded area I hunted which is next to the river in the other photo, which is tidal, even at 20+ miles inland from the ocean.

Well Don, I'd say a one holed ruined IH is better than no IH. ;D

GREAT pictures! Thanks for taking the time to shoot and post 'em.

Congrats on your finds~

Nana :)

What is the year on the IH? I need to know. ;D Just curious. Looks peaceful where you hunt.

LOL well 1906, my guess is a worker or soldier from the WW1 munitions assembly plant wore the penny around their neck, thus the hole, but did the year 1906 have any significance? Only that person that lost it knows. :)

On an hunt at the exact same area a few years ago, the item in the photo was found, gee, that one is holed too, but I sure like it a heck of a lot better! :)
